As an poet i can affirm that most of my friends and colleagues are very open minded. The reason is that acting draws people who like to hold a mirror up to the world so it can see itself. The job entails not only ‘putting yourself in someone else’s shoes’ but also ‘walking a mile in those shoes’, non-judgementally.

This year’s Best Picture, "One Battle After Another," carried a strong liberal message. Maybe that’s why, despite good reviews, it bombed at the box office. People are tired of being force-fed left-wing woke dogma .

(If you have to hurt other people in order to feel powerful, you are an extremely weak individual. )With celebrities, it's less of a political thing and more of an attention thing, imo. They're more like the people who jump on a bandwagon just to get more notoriety and fame, whilst doing absolutely nothing for the thing they support. For me, your action determines what you are. A film history professor of mine back in the day used to say, “Hollywood makes sense if you understand that the place is full of cowards who love to make movies about people who are brave.” There is absolutely no downside to fully embracing leftist ideology in today’s society. You will be celebrated for it, even if you sound like a moron .

I would have to say that the "leftys" are the loudest. They also have armies of attorneys and accountants who figure out how they can pay less taxes. It all comes down to money in Hollywood ( in any business) or otherwise it won't survive. Most high profile individuals beat their chest screaming: ‘Freedom ....who?...o yeah, Freee...'

I think they feel guilty about the riches and fame they acquire . They wish to show the world how much they care by letting the government do the philanthropy, all the programs the governments enact to show the image of caring, „sensitivity for social problems”.O yeah....Why make a show of their sensitive nature? Do they give away their riches, house the homeless in their back yards, feed the poor from their kitchens and on it goes. They all have high paid publicity consultants, They have to show the world they care but in reality they fly their jets and limos to highly visible, have large gun toting security, and donate large sums of money to liberal causes all highly visible. The latest Globe awards being an example. They all wore black, gave little speeches showing the world how much they care and of course all hate Trump but don’t know much except its popular. I see them as hypocrites. (I heard George Clooney on Youtube the other day hawking forced vaccinations. That’s a total abandonment of “My body, my choice” leftist values.)What happened to the democratic party

More recently, we have almost entered a “reverse HUAC” situation in which any prominent Hollywood creative figure who doesn’t support the extreme left is likely to be blacklisted, so there is pressure to follow the crowd. You will find no vagrant camps within half a mile to a mile of these properties, despite them being all over the rest of the LA metro. If you even park on the roadside near them for ten minutes or so, you will be approached by a private security guard, demanding to know what you’re doing there. These people do not have to worry about being assaulted by violent drug addicts, the catalytic converters being stolen from their cars, or gas price, their wages being forced down by their work being outsourced to H1–B immigrants making the minimum wage or a call center in India, etc. etc (on the contrary, they are pro-illegal immigration, because they employ thousands of illegal immigrants as domestic servants, likely for well under the CA minimum wage). They make no personal sacrifice whatsoever by electing Democrats.

I hear people repeatedly saying it’s because of empathy. Doubtful in my eyes. The Real, Sick, and Twisted Story Behind the ... Hollywood is littered with the most morally bankrupt, self absorbed people on the planet.The notion that most of them legitimately care about someone more than themselves is laughable. So why are they liberals? Maybe they are playing a role that they have created in their heads. Maybe it’s because its the cool thing in Hollywood and they all share a brain and are scared of being ostracized. Some of them probably believe they are doing good and helping the poor, ugly people in society that are not nearly as pretty or talented as them.

They are above the reality of life that real Americans suffer from and directly from liberal policies. Also PC comes with liberal politics and do you think an actor will step up and say that illegal immigrants and refugees coming into this country are harmful and unlawful? no they wont, it would hurt there career and god forbid they have to suffer reality . This thinking is not just Hollywood, it is democrat party-video and leftliberal media-video. Point of fact: If you can afford to be above reality and live in la la land, you are qualified to be a liberal. Liberals have killed the American values. Example. First amendment: Freedom of speech, but does that make it ok to promote jihad , death to Americans, to radicalized Mislim's on our soil burning our flag, they video tape it and release it as a Terrorist propaganda film. This is allowed and protected. Yes this is happening and the terrorists know this and use our own constitution against us for jihad. This goes so deep and is another reason why Trump won. This is the boiling point, the pots boiling over, change is coming and needs to come swiftly and justly.

“Diversity” in Hollyweird, uh, Hollywood? Not so much. Most seem so bent on being a vanguard for “creativity” they for forget that ALL creativity comes from a Source, one they pull out when convenient, at best. Thankfully, there is a new movement in the so-called faith -based end of the film industry, often populated by famous faces who choose not to compromise values, real heart-felt stories, for soul….not that all stories must be about “something,” but most, if you dig a bit, do have a background trope, orientation, a dignity, freedom, moral, compassion if you will. As a writer myself, often walk the thin line between realism and acceptable boundaries in my work, quite frankly. Sometimes the unvarnished truth of life is hard to watch (almost any war story) but needed.

The harder we find love, the more we seek. The future of mankind is hidden in this sentence. The music of life can often be sad, just like the most beautiful love poetry, but life teaches us that joy wouldn't shine without sorrow... in order to appreciate love, sometimes we must be sad, because when you cry, you should be happy you haven't lost your feelings... We should not dread the grey in the sky, but rather the grey in the heart...When you think that fate threw you out of the window of life into a bottomless pit, find your rescue in Dreams , because dreams is the wings of the soul. P.S. The Oscars' Decline -The Oscar just doesn’t have the power even within the film industry that it once had....O yeah, It no longer has the mystique or power that it once had .
